Basic Hand Drumming Class

FunDrum's Jonathan Murray teaches "Basic Hand Drumming", a 6-class series designed for adults who want to learn to play hand drums.

Basic Hand Drumming teaches techniques for large hand drums like djembes, ashikos, congas and bougarabous. These classes are lots of fun, and perfect for beginning players. The six classes will cover: techniques for producing the basic sounds of the drum, rhythm patterns that are fun to play and group poly-rhythms that blend together with song. Although Basic Hand Drumming is designed as a beginning level course, there are many ways to challenge more advanced beginners, and focusing on technique and quality of sound is always a sure way to improve your sound.
