Classes
Basic Hand Drumming
FunDrum's Jonathan Murray teaches "Basic Hand Drumming", a 6-class series designed for adults who want to learn to play hand drums.
FunDrum Rhythm Circles also offers the Basic Hand Drumming classes to private groups.
Would you like to bring the Basic Hand Drumming program to your group? Single event or series classes can be arranged. You provide the people and the chairs, FunDrum will provide the drums and instruction. (Please note that drumming classes are different than drum circles. In a drumming class, technique for playing will be emphasized, and you will learn fixed parts for compositions. A drum circle uses non culturally-specific rhythms and techniques and has a more free-form approach.)

World Ensemble Drumming
In this 6 week program, students will learn to expand their percussion skills to working with traditional instruments of world percussion ensembles. More than just hand drums, students will learn to play a variety of world percussion instruments including stick drums, frame drums and hand percussion instruments.
Prerequisite: Students must have taken a minimum of 3 basic hand drumming classes and have instructor approval to register.
